Ok, so first post was going to be about what & why this is and all. But there's several reasons that's not going to happen.

1. There was an ice storm. Those of you also from Oklahoma who were here know what I'm talking about. Those of you who aren't, it was hours of freezing rain, which weighed down the power lines & the trees, resulting in an absolutely incredible amount of damage over a very widespread area (Green Country). Pretty much everyone in the Tulsa area lost power. This happened 1 day after I got this site. So now, six days later, when I finally get electricity back, I can actually start building the freaking site. And now I've lost the desire to explain myself.

2. I have pictures from the ice storm.

3. Today it snowed. I have a snow picture.

For serious though, there's no theme to this site, it should be updated several times a week, and... yeah, that's the gist. Enjoy. Visit My Other Site. Buy Stuff.

Today's post will be on the joy of people.

Usually my Christmas shopping is a combination of online and in-store purchases. I shop online for things I've planned ahead for, thus getting good deals and not dealing with crowded shopping centers.

This year, however, I started shopping early (beginning of December), and since I've been in Tulsa with relative frequency, I've done all my shopping in-store. And let me tell you - it's better than shopping online. Way better.

Why?

1. Because you get to see the items first. When you buy something online, you don't see it until it's on your doorstep. So you never really know for sure what it looks like until you've already invested your time & money into the purchase.

2. Because you get to see everyone else annoyed at their kids for screaming in a busy store, you get to see everyone else frustrated and tired and stressed out. And all things are relative. When I see how stressed other people get (assuming that I'm not suffering vicarious frustration), it makes my shopping experience seem like heaven. No screaming kids to worry about, no trying to buy so-and-so that thing that they don't carry... none of that. Sheer bliss, I tell you.

3. Because I can wrap things as soon as I get home. I can browse, buy, and wrap all within one night.

And so, my shopping is DONE. Now, if I'm motivated, maybe I'll clean or decorate. Holiday spirit and all.

Nah. Who am I kidding? I'm gonna sleep!

Sorry it's been a week. My other work (the TV station one) has been busy. Actually, it's always the same busy, it's a difference of how many people take vacation at the end of the year.
